Sony Ericsson Deepens Partnership with Foxconn

According to a recent report in the Commercial Times, Foxconn's partnership with Sony Ericsson will be expanded to include production of mobile phones. Therefore, Flextronics, which used to be the main manufacturer of handsets for Sony Ericsson, will start to see some tougher competition for orders. 70% to 75% of Sony Ericsson mobile phones are currently assembled by Flextronics, but this percentage will probably fall in light of the new development.
